Fifth Anniversary Celebration Project
Mark your calendars to build one house for each year of success!

The Fuller Center is commemorating its fifth anniversary by rolling up its sleeves and doing what it does best: putting your donations to good use and helping to lift people out of poverty by working with them to build safe, decent, affordable housing.
Between March 15 and 27, 2010, we are returning to Louisiana, where our initial effort began following Hurricane Katrina, to construct five houses with our three covenant partners in Louisiana. We invite you to join us to help with these special projects.
Site 1: Northshore Fuller Center of Hammond, LA
Come help rebuild a home near New Orleans
Build: One, single-family home for Delores Black whose home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
Location: Belle Chasse, La., (20 minutes south of New Orleans)
Site 2: Northwest Fuller Center of Shreveport, LA
Be part of where Fuller Center started its first building initiative
Build: Two, single-family homes
Location: The Allendale neighborhood
Special: Members of an African delegation attending a summit in Shreveport with Community Renewal International will help construct these two homes.
Site 3: Webster Fuller Center of Springhill, LA
RV builders welcome!
Fuller Center for Housing's International Board is invited to participate in the "green" build.
Build: Two, single-family homes. One is for Minnie Hawkins and the other is for Travis and Brandi Page and their growing family. The Page house will be “green.”
Location: Minnie’s house is in Minden. The Page house is in Springhill, 30 minutes north of Minden.
Dedications will be at various times throughout the two week celebration build.
The Fuller Center's fifth anniversary also marks the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. In 2005, The Fuller Center launched a major effort to "Build on Higher Ground" that helped victims of Hurricane Katrina reconstruct their homes and their lives. Since 2005, 45 houses have been built to completion in the area as a result of that initiative.
Please join us between March 15 and 27 to help celebrate and to be a part of the The Fuller Center’s continued success in 2010!
Registration for each site is $100 and includes a combination of housing and meals for one week. Click onto each site to see the lodging and meals provided.
