ABOUT US: Located in the Ozark Region of Arkansas, the Fuller Center for Housing of North Central Arkansas covers Brown, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Carroll counties — an area of great contrasts. There are pockets of wealth and abject poverty. Many of the poverty-stricken citizens live in \rural areas. The poverty level in the five-county area ranges from 11% to 24% with an estimated 16,000 residences living below the poverty level. Initially, the Fuller Center for Housing of North Central Arkansas will focus on rehabilitation and renovation of existing homes. Collaborative Mission Partners are the Harrison Housing Agency, Entergy (the local power utility) and the North Central Arkansas Association of Builders.
UPCOMING EVENTS: The Fuller Center for Housing of North Central Arkansas recently began its first Save a House/Make a Home project after accepting a house donation from another nonprofit, Ozark Opportunities. The house will be moved to a lot that has is being cleared of a burned mobile home and will be restored into a two-bedroom home for a local widow. FCH of North Central Arkansas is seeking donations to help make the repairs and get her into the home as soon as possible.
