Geico sponsorship, jersey design and other special developments
The Fuller Center's annual "service triathlon" returns this summer with a new route of cycling, building and spreading the word. So far, 31 people have registered to ride at least one week with the third edition of the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure (FCBA). Sixteen brave riders are pedaling all 2,500 miles, making this the biggest bicycle adventure yet! (Visit the rider page to meet them.) Along the way, they and several others will join with our covenant partners to work on six build projects and fellowship with the grateful families.
Don't forget to become a fan of the bicycle adventure on Facebook and to follow us for updates on Twitter. You can also check out the FCBA blog archives. See photos, read daily accounts of adventure and be inspired by the transformations undergone by the cyclists and homeowners alike.
Several special things have been going on behind the scenes that should be noted:
2. Members of the 2008 and 2009 FCBA are working hard to plan the 2010 trip, mapping routes, contacting churches and setting up local rides. That's how you know this is an awesome trip - past participants come back year after year to help improve the experience!
3. FCBA logo T-shirts, sweatshirts, bags and more are now available at the Fuller Center's Cafe Press store. Check them out here! Are you riding this year? Consider purchasing FCBA note cards and use them to send thank-you notes to your supporters.
4. Richard, Ryan and Katherine finished designing the jersey. Some will be available for sale once registered participants have recieved theirs. You know you want one. Can't wait? We have a few extra-small, small and medium 2009 jerseys for sale. See them here.
Thanks everyone. Remember that it's not too late to sign up! Stay tuned for more.
