350After a fall that left him a bit bruised and unable to effectively squeeze his brakes, Aaron Alaman had to sit a few days out of the bike ride, instead riding along in the support van while he healed. But he plans on riding into D.C. Saturday. Good luck Aaron!

Today we traveled from Paw Paw, W. Va. to Williamsport, Md. The ride was about 58 miles on the C & O Canal trail. Harley (my bike) has really been enjoying the trails. It’s not often a road bike gets to be used like a mountain bike! During today’s ride I shared the “sweeping” responsibility with Abby.

Yesterday we crested the Eastern Continental Divide, spending the night in Frostburg, Md. From there, as the elevation chart shows, it really was all downhill to Paw Paw, W.Va., today’s destination, especially the first 16 miles from Frostburg to Cumberland on the C & O Trail.

Things are heating up across the country and around the world as summer finally settles in.  Houses are going up and being rehabbed; the Bicycle Adventure cyclists are on the road and The Fuller Center for Housing is hard at work.

Hello everyone! Today was Day 9 of our adventure. We started at 8 a.m., earlier than any other day so far this summer. We had a 76-mile ride ahead of us, 70 of which were uphill, and we had a scheduled presentation to make at our next destination, so it was a good thing we were able to get a move-on so early.
