Win a Global Builders trip to El Salvador
Win a what?
Once again we are excited to announce that 2012 bike adventure participants can receive an all-fee-waived trip to build with us in El Salvador!
How it works

- A rider or "virtual rider" must raise $7,200, and designate those funds to "where most needed."
- For those who meet the above criteria, we will waive our fee for your 7-day trip to El Salvador, which means that we will provide the same in-country transportation, housing, meals, and travel medical insurance that we provide to all our participants. (Note: As with all our participants, you are responsible for your own airfare.)
- Trips are organized by volunteer trip leaders, which means that we cannot control the number or timing of the trips. Join one already scheduled or organize your own! (Minimum group size of 8.) Check the schedule here.
- Trip must be used within one year of the end of the 2012 bike ride. (August 12, 2013)
A little about the trip
In February 2008, the Fuller Center for Housing purchased a plot of land in the town of San Luis Talpa, sufficient for 60 homes and a community center. With the exception of four, one-bedroom homes, all of the houses built there will have two bedrooms, each with a kitchen, bath and two porches, either of which can be converted to more living space.

In general you will help us in the construction of new homes and there are also opportunities for Greater Blessing projects. Much of the volunteer work for these projects includes, but is not limited to, making and pouring concrete, digging holes, and moving items needed for construction.
For lodging most teams stay in a house either on or near the beach. The facility has electricity, running water, showers, and internet access. Most teams stay in El Salvador for about 7 days, giving them 1-2 non-working days. El Salvador has many exciting tourism opportunites and/or relaxing activities.
